3-Year-Old Classes
4-Year-Old Classes
Children must turn 4 on or before December 1. About The Friday Program The optional third day for four-year-olds is based on an alphabet curriculum. The crafts, music, movement, snack and story are all selected to emphasize the special letter of the day. Group size is limited to fifteen, which allows the teachers to provide more individualized attention as well as focused group projects and activities. Additional field trips and special event experiences reinforce the alphabet concept. Though not intended to explicitly teach phonics, the children are immersed in language which results in phonemic awareness and reading readiness learned in the best way -- through play! About The Tots Program The Tots program is a branch of the Preschool where parents participate with their two-year-old child in planned and unstructured activities that allow children to learn through their senses. Classes are weekly as follows:
Children turning 2 on or before February 1 can join Tots but Tots will have to be repeated the next year because of the age requirement for the 3-Year-Old classes. |
