Teachers

Leslie Jackovich teaches the three-year-old preschool classes. She has a B.A. in Communication Arts and Sciences along with an M.A. in Audiology from Michigan State University. She completed the Early Childhood Studies program at MCCC in December 2010. Leslie was the assistant teacher at TCP from 2006 to 2010. Her two sons attended Troy Co-op Preschool. Leslie was the 3’s and 4’s membership chairperson while at the co-op. Her boys are very active in hockey and she is proud to be a Hockey Mom. She and her family reside in Troy.
Megan Steiger is the Assistant Teacher for our three-year-olds. She has a BA Degree in Business from Michigan State University, with additional coursework in Education. Following a career in the travel industry, she has done extensive volunteer work with her church's children's programs and Rochester Community Schools while raising her son (a Troy Co-op grad) and daughter.
Lori Ann Rumel teaches the four-year-old preschool classes. She has a degree in Child Development from Central Michigan University and has taught preschool since 1993. She has been at Troy Co-op since 1998 and taught at another private preschool for six years before joining us. She has been involved with the Teachers Association of the Greater Detroit Cooperative Nursery Council since 1998 and has served on the board since 1999. She has presented workshops for the Teachers Association as well as the Michigan Council of Cooperative Nurseries and Macomb Community College. Lori Ann attended Troy Co-op as a child and her two children have attended Troy Co-op as well.
Our Assistant Teacher for the four-year-old classes is Barbara Malasky. She has a B.S. Degree in Education from Central Michigan University, as well as a Michigan Elementary Provisional Certificate with an Early Childhood Specialist endorsement. Barb's daughter is a Troy Co-op graduate and one of Barb's co-op assignments was substitute teacher.
Lisa Cardillo is our Tots teacher. She has a degree in Early Childhood Studies, as well as an Associate of Arts degree from Macomb Community College. She completed her student teaching at Troy Cooperative Preschool in 2005 and has previously worked as a nanny and as a lead preschool teacher at a childcare center. Lisa has a son who attends Troy Co-op and a young daughter.
